Our foundation is built on a diligent work ethic. Our story is grounded in courtesy and manners. Our products and brand are a result of not only quality craftsmanship, but also who we are. We are Michael and David Stampler, two brothers, raised in rural Pennsylvania, working to produce the best quality goods and enjoy ourselves at the same time. We try to make products that incorporate our own personal interests in life and aesthetic with that of standard practices and past production. Norman Porter Company is named after our grandfather who resides in Sellersville, Pa.
We got our start making jeans for only ourselves. We were able to produce a full set of patterns for our first cut of jean, written by our own hands the old fashioned way. Our leather work was founded by the necessity for a leather back tag on our jeans. All of our current work has resulted from that initial need. Everything that leaves our studio has been made with the best possible materials, meticulous attention to detail, and a lot of heart. We work hard to make a product that gets better with age and can be enjoyed for many years to come. We strive to make items that are unique to our brand, and to the time. Producing pieces that will one day be the new batch of vintage, we hope to make items that will stand the test of time.
